Allied Telesis expands in all directions

FYI, this story is more than a year old

Japanese networking vendor Allied Telesis has exciting plans for the New Zealand market, appointing three new members to its account management team, and a new distributor.

Last month the company appointed three new business development managers: Roger Bennett in Auckland, formerly of Renaissance, Steve Rose in Wellington, formerly of Lamberts in Palmerston North, and Kamlesh Mani in Christchurch, formerly of Connector Systems.

Paul Batchelor, NZ country manager for Allied Telesis, says he’s confident his new team members will help channel partners win new business and extend the company’s reach from local government and schools into new verticals.

The company's channel only approach will continue, but is adding to its distribution, with the appointment of Network Technologies Ltd (NTL), a new entrant started by Alex Ebbeling in Wellington and Karl Craythorn in Auckland.

While this is Allied Telesis’ second NZ distributor after Connector Systems, NTL will have exclusive access to the company’s forthcoming range of wireless access points.
