Base 2 delivers first next-gen monitoring platform in NZ
Wed, 21st Aug 2013
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Local managed service provider Base 2 has become the first in the country to deploy ScienceLogic's next generation IT monitoring software, accelerated to ensure the company avoids the growth pains experienced by so many other MSPs worldwide.

Managing Director Greg Sharp says the business is seeing annual growth rates of 250%, but without ScienceLogic, they would not be able to maintain their service levels.

"We provide proactive monitoring and monthly reports to a diverse range of businesses, and ScienceLogic has automated many of the labour-intensive functions which would have restricted such high growth," he says.

Base 2 were voted New Zealand's best MSP by MSPMentor.net in 2012, with ScienceLogic's technology helping the company further differentiate themselves from the competition.

"Base 2 epitomises what a thriving MSP should look like," says Simon Horrocks, VP Asia Pacific & Japan, ScienceLogic.

"We were amazed at the energy and speed they moved with, which is why they won the race to deploy the solution anointed the 'best network monitoring system on earth' by InfoWorld.

"It's no surprise to us that the platform was deployed in less than one week, and Base 2 has already won additional business with a large global company, based on the capability of the new platform."

ScienceLogic software integrates the core IT monitoring functions needed to run today's computing infrastructures, including systems, performance, network, service, event, and asset management capabilities, as well as multi-tenancy, run book automation, and service desk.
