Thu, 9th Oct 2014
FYI, this story is more than a year old

The Good Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) Suite by Good Technology has received exciting additions following a partnership with Microsoft.

Good Technology has released the industry's first secure enterprise productivity solution for the Windows 8.1 platform which enables IT to increase productivity and security on tablets. Recognising the fact that many organisations are working on a varied mix of mobile devices, this is a solution for cross-platform mobility management.

The new addition makes the EMM Suites ideal for businesses and companies who want to establish multiple mobility models such as bring your own device (BYOD) and corporate owned personally enabled (COPE), as well as kiosk solutions.

This isn't the only way Good Technology is making mobility models more accessible. On October 6th they released an announcement that launched Good Work and Good Secure Mobile Productivity Suite. The former is a cloud-hosted and on-premise secure enterprise for businesses of all sizes, and the latter is a cloud-based solution that brings together top business apps.

More  IT buyers are choosing Microsoft Surface tablets and are looking for ways to have quick and secure access to emails, calendar and contacts on various devices, so there is definitely a market for such solutions.

Chris Hazelton, research director, Enterprise Mobility at 451 Research said, “Twenty percent of IT buyers are planning to buy a Microsoft Surface table in the fourth quarter of 2014, second only to Apple's iPad, according to our ChangeWave Research service."

“Organisations across the globe are looking for highly secure, easy-to-use productivity solutions on tablets,” added Colin Kerr, director of business development for financial services at Microsoft Corp. The Good for Enterprise app for Windows 8.1 is included in the Good Enterprise Mobility Management suite. With the app, users can use their Windows 8.1 tablet to check and respond to emails, sync contacts, view documents securely and create, edit and delete meetings.
