Pay as you go for F5 Networks' ADN solutions

FYI, this story is more than a year old

Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) providers will be able to deploy cloud solutions without incurring hefty up-front Application Delivery Networking (ADN) costs, thanks to a new cloud licensing program from vendor F5 Networks.

The company has announced a pay-as-you-go billing model for its ADN solutions, which it hopes will reduce friction between IaaS providers, who have previously had to buy the necessary infrastructure, and enterprise IT departments, who are reluctant to sign long-term contracts.

Kurt Hansen, managing director, Australia and New Zealand for F5 Networks, says the new program offers cloud providers and channel partners both a larger target market and enhanced revenue opportunities.

"F5’s new cloud licensing program brings the power of our ADN solutions to the cloud,” Hansen says, "while offering the flexibility of a pay-as-you-go billing model.”
