PowerbyProxi strengthens management team with new VP

PowerbyProxi has hired a new Vice President of Engineering, in the form of industry veteran Michael Eckert.

Eckert joins from Tracking-Point and brings 18 years’ experience running complex engineering development efforts and will be based in PowerbyProxi’s Auckland, New Zealand, office.

Prior to that, Eckert led Motorola’s Silicon Technology development where he was instrumental in the development and commercialization of Motorola's mobile WiMAX and later its LTE chipset solutions.

“Michael brings broad technical and management experience leading large teams in international multi-disciplined R&D efforts,” says Greg Cross, Executive Chairman and CEO, PowerbyProxi.

“We have increased our engineering team by 64% over the past year and are thrilled to have a strong leader like Michael to help guide that team through the next phase of our growth."
