Silver Peak seals ANZ VRX distie deal
Wed, 4th Dec 2013
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Silver Peak has appointed Vadis Systems as a distributor of its Velocity Replication Acceleration (VRX) solutions in Australia and New Zealand.

Sydney-based Vadis is a specialised solution-based value-added distributor (VAD) with a reputation for expertise in data protection, disaster recovery, storage, and security.

“Vadis Systems were selected for their in-depth understanding and experience in storage, data protection and disaster recovery," says Brian Grant, director, Silver Peak Oceania.

"We value their expertise in these areas and look forward to accelerating our success in the region with their assistance.”

Adding to Grant's comments, Vadis systems director of business recovery, Bart Steanes, says: “We see the partnership as an exciting opportunity to sell and support a storage-complementary product, as the current market in this area is under-serviced.”

“Silver Peak provides outstanding value for storage replication acceleration.

"The software is easy to deploy and provides instant results. Since the Silver Peak VRX solution is delivered as software, there is no hardware footprint, making the deployment fast and low-impact."

Vadis sees opportunities to provide value in three areas:

• Corporate and government end users experiencing performance/cost issues with their disaster recovery network

• Carriers that sell wide area network or disaster recovery solutions but do not own their own infrastructure. These carriers could upsell to existing customers with performance challenges or bundle the software into new bids to help reduce their solution costs

• Systems integrators offering bundled disaster recovery solutions. Performance improvements would help them to reduce the costs of buying data links.
