AT&T offers tablet exclusive billing
Fri, 4th Mar 2011
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Hot on the heels of Apple's iPad 2 unveiling, comes AT-T's new, post-paid billing options for users of tablet devices in the US.

Customers can choose between AT-T's existing pre-paid billing options or the new post-paid plans.

The new plans can be added to customers' existing monthly wireless statements and for a limited time customers who sign up to a new post paid US$25/2GB plan will receive the first month free.

"Tablets offer the convenience of mobile broadband virtually anywhere and our new billing options give customers the flexibility to choose how they prefer to be billed," said AT-T.

The following options are being offered:

Post-paid: $14.99 for 250 MB or $25 for 2GB. Customers on the 2GB plan who exceed their monthly data allotment will be charged $10 per 1GB of overage. Charges will appear on customers' monthly wireless statements.

Pre-paid: $14.99 for 250MB or $25 for 2GB. Customers on the 2GB plan who exceed their monthly data allotment may choose to purchase an additional 2GB for $25. Charges will appear on customers' credit card statements.

Both options are month-to-month and don't require a long-term commitment.
