FYI, this story is more than a year old

New Zealand's Base 2 has come out on top for Kiwi managed service providers for the third year running, gaining a listing in the annual MSPmentor 501 Global Edition.

Penton Technology's MSPmentor 501 is an annual ranking of the world's top 501 managed service providers, with rankings based on criteria including annual recurring revenue, dollar growth, percentage growth and devices managed. MSPs have to participate in an annual survey in order to be considered for inclusion on the list.

Base 2 was the top Kiwi company listed, coming in at 131 globally.

Origin IT also made the top 150, coming in at 142. Ricoh NZ and LANtech also hit the list at 223 and 278, respectively, while Computer - Network Solutions took out 457 spot.

Greg Sharp, Base 2 managing director, says he's delighted the company has been named the number one MSP for New Zealand for the third year running.

“As Base 2 was founded specifically to deliver IT managed services, our vision is being realised to the highest level,” Sharp says.

“We want to congratulate Base 2 and look forward to covering their growth strategies in the year ahead,” says Marcia Parker, Penton Technology Group executive director.

This year the top MSPmentor 501 companies recorded higher recurring revenues than ever before. Combined the total annual recurring revenues for all of MSPmentor 501 2015 companies reached a record high of $3.95 billion in 2014, up 26.5% year over year.
