Need a Nerd has teamed up with Naverisk, a cloud-based IT services automation platform, to standardise its national IT services.

Need a Nerd CEO Adam Dunkerly said the company evaluated several remote monitoring platforms and decided to select Naverisk for a 12-month pilot thanks in part to the software's sales workflow and proactive monitoring, reporting and IT services automation.

Dunkerly said Need a Nerd is looking for new franchisees across the country and the addition of Naverisk to its services makes the proposition "quite compelling" for SMB IT service providers.

Naverisk CEO Jon Kalagher said the move, which brings another 15,000 devices under management via the Naverisk software, is "yet another strong step towards our business goals in 2011."
