Pi Datacenters and SUSE will be bringing cloud and SDDC services to India via the SUSE OpenStack cloud platform.

The companies announced the partnership this week, which will combine Pi's greenfield data center service and SUSE's enterprise cloud service.

"SUSE and Pi DATACENTERS will leverage each other's strength in delivering next-generation data center and Cloud services to enterprises in India. This will also bring more value and flexibility to SUSE's customers as they can extend the benefits of SUSE products beyond their in house data centers," explains Rajarshi Bhattacharyya, Country Head at SUSE India.

The partnership will also bring a complete spectrum of cloud and hosting services to Indian customers. Pi is also the first company to adopt SUSE OpenStack Cloud and the first to become 100% Software-Defined-Data Center in the region.

The SUSE OpenCloud will bring a 'robust' platform for independent and isolated clouds. Pi offers customized cloud solutions for verticals in IT - ITES, BFSI, government and PSU, manufacturing, healthcare and other industries.

"Our innovative and tailored PiCloud offerings coupled with the agility and stability of SUSE OpenStack Cloud enable a rapid self-provisioning of Cloud environments for varied workloads. The smooth integration of SUSE OpenStack Cloud with other major elements of our data center environment, like Arista SDN and EMC SDS, has been key in making Pi a true SDDC," adds Kalyan Muppaneni, founder - CEO of Pi Datacenters.

The new collaboration will be headquartered in Amaravati, the capital region of 'newly reorganised' state of Andhra Pradesh.

Pi also allows clients to deploy NFV through its SUSE OpenStack and Arista. The OpenStack Cloud enables Pi to integrate cloud orchestration to many data centers from one single control center.
