SAS conference comes to Wellington
Wed, 2nd Feb 2011
FYI, this story is more than a year old

SUNZ’s annual SAS conference (nothing to do with the military) will be held in Wellington on February 24th, the company has confirmed with general registration now open.

SAS Users of New Zealand (SUNZ) is an association that helps spread the word of how businesses are using SAS in their workplaces.

Geoff Beynon, GM for SAS New Zealand, believes around 250 delegates will attend the event with more than half being C-level executives from the financial services, insurance, telecommunications, health care, retail, manufacturing, mining and public sectors.

“Our customer base in this region has grown strongly since the last SUNZ Conference in 2010 despite the adverse financial climate between that time and today – and I am confident that this year’s event will attract a record number of attendances. This is because most companies are now seeing an explosion of data and the smart ones are using the insights gained from data to harness business

advantage.”
