BNZ & posBoss create payment solution to mobilise hospitality industry

FYI, this story is more than a year old

The hospitality has another choice of point-of-sale (POS) solutions, after a BNZ partnership with posBoss.

The two companies worked together to develop a joint solution that comprises PosBoss POS software and BNZ PayClip.

According to the companies, the POS software has been designed for fast over-the-counter purchases and also integrates with accounting software Xero. The solution also includes BNZ PayClip, which enables card payments to a smart device via Bluetooth

The new payment system has been used in a real-world pilot programme at Giapo in Auckland since mid-March. It has now been rolled out to the broader hospitality industry.

“Having BNZ PayClip means our counter top is clean, minimalistic and that payments can be processed fast,” comments Gianpaolo Grazioli, Giapo owner.

We love embracing technology because it suits our business and it works great – ultimately we are looking to go completely mobile in-store so really, it's game changing for us. We also have a third PayClip for peak periods which is really convenient.

BNZ's head of small business, Harry Ferreira, says the new payment experience is ‘innovative'.

“PayClip is an award winning payment solution and this integration with posBoss builds on that success – providing an increasingly innovative payment experience for hospitality businesses.  With a competitive price point and attractive design, PayClip and posBoss look fantastic on the countertop and provide a positive experience for customers.

Those seeking to install PayClip must go through an approval process. Once approved, users must set up their account through the BNZ PayClip Portal. Business owners then download the app, as they will need to use this alongside the PayClip device. When the application is approved, the device will be delivered to business owners.

“Ultimately, it means more time to focus on your customers and less time worrying about administration,” Ferreira concludes.
