FYI, this story is more than a year old

BT is ramping up its push into the New Zealand market, inking a deal with Asnet Technologies to offer a range of unified communications services from the British telecommunications giant.

The deal follows an announcement last November that BT was launching new cloud services throughout Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa.

Asnet will offer a range of conferencing services from the BT One Collaborate Portfolio, which provides on-premise and cloud based offerings.

The portfolio includes BT MeetMe audio conferencing, with lo9cal access numbers available in more than 50 countries to help customers avoid long distance call charges.

Eric Greenop, Asnet Technologies managing director, says the partnership with BT Global Services will allow Asnet to improve its customers' experience in audio conferencing.

“Leveraging our partner's impressive global reach and capabilities, we're confident this partnership will allow us to expand our client base while building on existing relationships,” Greenop says.

Adds Kevin Taylor, BT Asia, Middle East and Africa president: “Better collaboration is key to success in today's competitive global market.

“Organisations using effective collaboration tools reap benefits from faster decision making and savings in time and travel costs. “We are pleased to be working with Asnet Technologies to bring the latest collaboration services to customers in New Zealand, enabling their people to work in harmony both within their organisations as well as with partners and suppliers.

In November, BT launched BT One Cloud Cisco and BT One Cloud Lync across AMEA.
