Gartner has named CenturyLink a leader in the Magic Quadrant for Cloud-Enabled Managed Hosting, Asia Pacific, for the second year running.

The company says the recognition reinforces its reputation it the hybrid IT space as it continues to focus heavily on the Asia Pacific region.

CenturyLink's Asia-Pacific operations date back to 1999 when the company launched its first virtualised service in the region in 2007.

CenturyLink Cloud, its public cloud platform, launched in Asia Pacific in March 2015. The company delivers managed hosting services in China and has made its Private Cloud service available globally.  “We are pleased to again be named as a leader in the Magic Quadrant for Cloud-Enabled Managed Hosting, Asia Pacific,” says Gery Messer, managing director, Asia Pacific, at CenturyLink.

“We believe this recognition reinforces CenturyLink's reputation as a leading global hybrid IT provider,” he says.

Messer says CenturyLink is continuing to focus heavily in the Asia-Pacific region to meet growing demand for managed services around hybrid infrastructure.

“Our integrated management approach, spanning applications, infrastructure and network connectivity, differentiates CenturyLink from the competition,” he explains.

CenturyLink was named a leader in last year's version of the same Gartner report, the 2015 Magic Quadrant for Cloud-Enabled Managed Hosting, Asia Pacific.

Additionally, the company was named a leader in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Cloud-Enabled Managed Hosting, Europe. It was named a niche player in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Cloud Infrastructure as a Service, a global report that was published August 3, 2016.
