Distribution Central has expanded its New Zealand team with two new appointments following the company's new Wellington branch, Auckland office and exclusive NetApp distribution agreement.

The technology distribution firm confirmed the hiring of Diego Viso and Kate Chernova as Sales Engineer and Internal Sales Representative respectively, as the company grows its presence within the country.

“Following our recent announcement as exclusive NetApp distributor in New Zealand, we are expanding our team and expertise to ensure we support the entire NetApp channel in New Zealand at the same high standard that we do in Australia and Singapore,” says Nick Verykios, MD, Distribution Central.

“We’re also still looking to hire another Sales Engineer based in Auckland to support our security and data vendors and to further boost our team and channel resources."

Based in the Wellington branch, Viso has over 14 years experience in the industry, covering a variety of projects from small implementations, to consultation and rollouts for large clients, including extensive expertise in NetApp, VMware and Microsoft.

Chernova will be based in DC’s Auckland office however, with both focussing on the company's data center and storage vendors: NetApp, Cloupia, Quantum, Syncsort and Varonis.
