Fri, 11th Mar 2011
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Greg Elisara, Director of Online at Renaissance, has left the company after holding the position for 11 months for a Head of Digital role at Barnes, Catmur - Friends.

Elisara's LinkedIn profile says he was in the Renaissance role for 11 months but now heads up digital activities for Barnes, Catmur - Friends.

Duties at Renaissance included "development and leadership of online across company activities, compromising retail, wholesale, training and education."

In Renaissance's latest Annual Meeting Chairman's Report, Chairman Colin Giffney said that the online website (re-branded from MagnumMac to YooBee last year) had yet to find its feet.

"Our online offering has not yet found its feet but we continue to invest in it as our ‘12th store' in the belief that an online store alongside our physical stores is an integral part of modern retailing.

Giffney expects the online store to mature into profit "on a monthly basis” this financial year.

Also, long time employee Scott Leman, General Manager - Retail Channel at Renaissance, has left the company. He joined the distributor in 2004, fresh out of university, according to his LinkedIn profile.
