Don't miss Veeam's Auckland partner conference on 19th March
Wed, 6th Mar 2013
FYI, this story is more than a year old

With the rise of the software defined data center, the virtual data protection and management market is emerging as the next frontier for the channel.

At the Veeam ProPartner Conference (March 19, Auckland, Pullman Auckland Hotel), partners will have the opportunity to learn how they can capitalise on this paradigm shift, to set themselves apart with a product offering that addresses broader data protection issues in private, hybrid and public cloud environments.

Experience new products first hand

The ProPartner Conference also presents partners with the opportunity to experience and discuss the latest Veeam product innovations with Veeam’s executives and channel peers.

Designed to accelerate the channel’s growth in the SMB cloud segment, Veeam’s groundbreaking new Backup Cloud Edition gives partners an easy-to-use, cost effective solution to sell as an alternative to tape and offsite backup storage.

Veeam Backup Cloud Edition automatically copies VMware or Hyper-V VM Backups to any one of 15 different public storage clouds including Windows Azure, Amazon S3, Amazon Glacier, Rackspace and HP Cloud. It also features support for additional clouds built on OpenStack.

Veeam also recently introduced Veeam Backup Management Suite 6.5 (formerly Veeam Management Suite). Veeam Backup Management Suite is built specifically for virtualisation and offers fundamental and far-reaching benefits over legacy tools.

It combines Veeam Backup & Replication 6.5 and the new Veeam ONE 6.5 in a single integrated solution for powerful, easy-to-use and affordable data protection and virtualisation management.

Presentations showcase latest business acceleration strategies

In the opening keynote, Don Williams, regional director Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) at Veeam Software, will outline how the company’s latest product innovations fit into Veeam’s new strategy and vision.

Addressing the needs of businesses for Modern Data Protection, Veeam has continually been innovating and enhancing its data protection portfolio to equip partners with market-leading solutions that enable them to stay ahead of the curve.

Continuing with the presentation stream, cloud specialist Stephen Parker, head of Cloud Strategy at Newlease will explain how the channel can make the cloud a virtual reality.

Focusing on the practical implications of selling cloud services, he will highlight how partners can move from the mindset to a tangible revenue opportunity.

Later in the afternoon, business experts Matt Harrison and Christine Partridge, Veeam’s Channel Manager NZ and Marketing Manager APJ, will share their insights into powerful business generation tactics for New Zealand partners.

2012 ProPartner Awards winners will receive accolades

Concluding the event, Veeam will be announcing this year’s ProPartner Award winners. Now in its second year, Veeam’s ProPartner Awards acknowledge innovation and business acumen in implementing virtualisation solutions.

The winners of each category – Growth, Cloud Provider, Reseller, Rookie and New Zealand (regional award) ProPartner of the Year – will be chosen on the basis of outstanding growth and leadership within their markets, recognising excellence in revenue performance for the 2012 financial year.

The Veeam ProPartner Conference starts at 2pm (1:45pm registration), and finishes at 4:45pm, followed by celebratory drinks and canapés at the Pullman Bar.
