Former channel manager takes on Flexera ANZ director role

Flexera Software has promoted its former APAC channel alliances manager, Hugh Darvall, to the role of director of sales for Australia and New Zealand.

The role sees Darvall responsible for overseeing the software vendor's go to market strategy across Australia and New Zealand, leading the ANZ sales team and working on partnership building.

Vincent Smyth, Flexera senior vice president of worldwide sales, says Darvall's industry experience, providen track record and can-do attitude ‘fit right in with our entrepreneurail culture'.

“Hugh's candor and passion to keep score is a great asset and enables this team to meet and exceed goals, objectives and commitments to our employees, customers and partners,” Smyth says. Darvall was the vendor's APAC channel alliances manager in 2011-2012. Since then he has held several positions in the company, including director of Asia Pacific telebusiness and alliances, and major account manager.

Prior to joining Flexera he worked in channel sales at Quintiq where he focused on backend systems, analysed large amounts of data and monitored events.
