FYI, this story is more than a year old

Albuquerque cloud computing company Maya Virtual has deployed its IT architecture close to home, thanks to a partnership with H5 Data Centers, a national wholesale and colocation data center provider.

According to Maya Virtual, the partnership helps the company to expand the growth of its custom cloud platform that operates in certified, high-rated colocation facilities.

Maya Virtual founder and CEO Dan Fry says Albuquerque's technology and telecom sectors are growing quickly, and the company wants to be part of that growth.

“As part of our expanding cloud services network, Albuquerque will be an excellent hub for digital media services in the Southwest region and beyond,” says Fry.

“We are excited to be working with H5 Data Centers and look forward to everything the partnership will help bring to the Albuquerque area.

H5 Data Centers founder and CEO Josh Simms adds that its Albuquerque location is one of the city's most interconnected access points.

“Cloud service providers and content companies increasingly require low-latency access to networks and digital partners. Due to its geographic location and affordable operational costs, Albuquerque is well positioned for continued IT infrastructure services growth,” says Simms.

H5 Data Centers' Albuquerque edge data center includes:

•    225,000 SF carrier hotel and office building with significant access to a variety of fiber and network access providers
•    The top point of interconnection in New Mexico
•    505 Marquette serves a strategic role for communications in Albuquerque and throughout the Southwest.

NewCloud Networks is a growing global Cloud Services Provider that offers managed data center solutions and services including: private, public and hybrid cloud, cloud security services, and backup and disaster recovery services. The two companies used the expansion to deliver a hybrid IT offering.

"NewCloud Networks offers a full suite of custom cloud computing and communications solutions to enterprises across the world," commented Simms at the time.

"This new deployment expands the on-site hybrid IT opportunities for our Cleveland customers and prospects. We look forward to being an IT infrastructure partner to NewCloud Networks as they expand their platform."

H5 Data Centers' Cleveland data center includes:
