FYI, this story is more than a year old

Equinox IT is celebrating after being appointed to the New Zealand Government Web Services Panel.

The Wellington and Auckland based IT consultancy says it is the only New Zealand-owned Microsoft Gold Partner to be granted DevOps competency for the all-of-government panel, which enables government agencies to purchase web-based services from approved members without the need for a full tender process.

Deane Sloan, Equinox IT consulting services general manager, says “Effective use of web technology is essential to every future-looking government agency that wishes to provide convenient and cost effective services and experiences to their customers and staff.

The company is one of 81 vendors contracted by the Department of Internal Affairs to provide services for the panel, which covers services across 11 website and application development categories.

Equinox IT has been certified for eight of the 11 categories: Information architecture, content design, user insight, application testing, front-end development, back-end development, native application development and ongoing support.

“We're very happy to be able to offer a range of website and web application services under then panel to help government agencies improve their customer and internal experiences,” Sloan says.
