FYI, this story is more than a year old

Corina Radovanovich has been named as the new marketing and operations lead at Microsoft New Zealand.

She takes over from current lead Donna Wright, who was with the company for ten years.

Radovanovich has a wealth of local and international experience and she knows Microsoft well, having worked at both the Auckland and Seattle offices in a range of marketing and communications roles.

In her new role, she will help oversee the marketing and operations teams as they navigate towards the completion of Microsoft's datacenter region in New Zealand Aotearoa and beyond.

Most recently, Radovanovich was working in product marketing at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Seattle. She will re-join Microsoft in February, after resettling back in New Zealand.

“I am so pleased to have the opportunity to return to Microsoft New Zealand to lead the marketing and operations team,” says Radovanovich.

“Building New Zealand's first hyper-scale datacenter region marks a particularly exciting time to be joining the team and I am looking forward to hitting the ground running," she says.

"Access to local datacenter services opens up a wealth of opportunity to drive innovation and digital transformation for Kiwi businesses, and I can't wait to be a part of helping those businesses realise their potential.

“Another thing that excites me about my move back to New Zealand is my daughters experiencing the magic of life here," Radovanovich adds.

"New Zealand is a beautiful country with so much opportunity, and I'm thrilled to return with my family," she says.

Vanessa Sorenson, managing director of Microsoft New Zealand, says she is delighted about the appointment that "nicely completes" the senior leadership team.

“We are so fortunate to have Corina make the move back to Microsoft New Zealand," Sorenson says.

"This appointment has taken us a while due to COVID-1919 and our commitment to only hiring the best of the best talent," she says.

"We are confident that with her exceptional global experience, and detailed local market knowledge, Corina is going to be a brilliant addition to our executive team.

Commenting on the departure of Donna Wright, Sorenson adds, “We are really sad to see Donna leave the business after ten years of exceptional hard work and dedication.

"She helped launch key cloud services like Microsoft365, Dynamics and Azure to the local market," she says.

"These were critical moments in our company's history, and we were lucky to have her expertise and guidance.
