FYI, this story is more than a year old

Compuware Corporation has announced the appointment of Anthony Clarke as Regional Director for Australia and New Zealand.

Based in Sydney, Clarke will be responsible for overall customer account management and for accelerating the adoption of application performance management solutions among both public and private sector organisations.

Clarke joins Compuware with more than 20 years’ experience in the IT industry and has a proven track record of working with companies in maximising sales performance, increasing revenue, and driving market share in Australia, New Zealand and Europe.

Clarke was previously Regional Sales Director – Australia and New Zealand, at Hitachi Data Systems where for more than four years he lead the sales team through transformational change, achieving year-on-year increases in sales and market share in the face of a dynamic and challenging environment.

Prior, he was at Sun Microsystems, initially as ANZ Storage Practice Manager and subsequently as Australian Director of Business Systems.

In these roles he was a member of the regional senior management team where he successfully aligned the Australian and New Zealand storage and server operations business of Sun Microsystems with the company’s global vision to achieve the highest level of storage performance and participation by the company’s extended sales operation.

“Clarke brings a passion for service delivery and customer experience success that will allow us to stand out as a unique provider of application performance management solutions," says Steve Jobson, Senior Vice President of Compuware Asia-Pacific.

"He provides the perfect combination of technical ability and the experience and passion for working with business partners and customers to create the optimal service and market momentum environment.”

Today, about 70 per cent of Compuware’s revenues in the Asia Pacific region flow through channel partners and the company is now looking to emulate this figure in Australia and New Zealand.
