FYI, this story is more than a year old

OneNet has launched two new solutions using Citrix technologies.

The Kiwi cloud computing company's latest desktop-as-a-service offering is delivered using Windows Server 2012 R2 and Citrix XenApp 7.5.

OneNet says the new platform takes advantage of improved performance, security and stability enhancements in both Windows Server 2012 R2 and XenApp 7.5, as well as addressing 'the ever-increasing user demands to be able to quickly and easily access their applications from a range of devices, wherever they are'.

Cliff Hedley, Citrix New Zealand field sales manager, says: “OneNet’s early adoption of XenApp 7.5 puts them at the forefront of delivering robust, reliable and modern desktop-as-a-service solutions allowing their customers to the ability to focus on their business and the freedom to access their applications securely, from any device, at any time.”

OneNet has also deployed Citrix Netscalers application delivery controllers across its three sites in Auckland Hamilton and Christchurch to enhance its application and desktop delivery and availability capabilities.

The company says the appliances will enable it to better manage and accelerate application delivery across a wide range of devices and connections, improve security, and increase resiliency through global load balancing and enhanced availability capabilities for clients who can't tolerate downtime.

““We’re excited to see OneNet continually evolve and expand their relationship with Citrix,” says Hedley.

“With their recent investment in Citrix Netscaler technology they have taken the next step in the delivery of 'enterprise class' solutions and services to their clients.”

OneNet says the new solutions enable its partners and clients 'to realise the benefits of what cloud computing promises'.
