Red Hat celebrates partner excellence in AI & open source awards

Thu, 25th Sep 2025

Red Hat has recognised six partners for their contribution to enterprise technology at the Red Hat Ecosystem Awards 2025 for Australia and New Zealand.

The event, held in Sydney, brought together partners, customers, and the broader open source community for two days of discussions centred on the power of collaboration in driving business transformation across industries. Organisations acknowledged at the awards included Advent One, Atturra, Accenture, Datacom, Integral, and Microsoft.

Partner collaboration

John Nelson, Head of Ecosystem, Australia and New Zealand, Red Hat, commented on the importance of partnerships in advancing enterprise solutions. He said, "At Red Hat, we truly believe that no one innovates alone. Open source thrives on collaboration and enterprise technology reaches its full potential through co-creation with our strong partner ecosystem that unites technology, expertise and support."

The discussions highlighted the prominence of artificial intelligence (AI) in current technology dialogues and the complexity facing enterprises seeking to implement AI in practical ways. Nelson noted, "The excitement around artificial intelligence (AI) is inescapable. But beyond all the excitement, many enterprises are still: how do we actually make AI work for our business? One thing is clear-no single organisation can solve AI's challenges alone-it takes collaboration across industries, from open source developers building foundational tools to cloud providers offering scalable infrastructure to enterprises shaping real-world AI applications."

Red Hat works closely with partners to streamline AI adoption. Its ecosystem integrates hardware vendors, cloud providers and system integrators, supporting businesses in their AI projects and helping avoid dependencies on less open platforms. The company also provides consulting and training services, supporting organisations as they develop, deploy, manage, scale, and maintain AI applications.

Partner engagement and enablement

Red Hat emphasised continuous engagement with partners to address the evolving challenges brought by AI and emergent technologies. Nelson said, "To make this possible, Red Hat is constantly refining its partner engagement experience to ensure partners are enabled and equipped to handle challenges that AI and other emerging technologies bring. Because for Red Hat - it's customer first, and partner always."

The importance of open source as a foundation for future development was highlighted, with Red Hat positioning its partner ecosystem as critical to customer success and ongoing improvement opportunities.

Award recipients

During the event, Red Hat named the recipients of the Red Hat Ecosystem Awards 2025 for Australia and New Zealand. Advent One was recognised as Partner of the Year for achievements in business growth, customer success, and collaboration across hybrid cloud, automation, and AI. Atturra received the Excellence in Innovation award in acknowledgment of innovation and customer impact in introducing Red Hat solutions to market.

Accenture was named Market Maker, highlighting its growth in emerging technology product sales, as well as its efforts in demand generation and alignment with Red Hat's go-to-market initiatives. The AI Catalyst award was presented to Datacom for its leadership and outcomes in enterprise AI projects aligned with Red Hat's strategy. Integral was recognised as Strategic Services Innovator for developing impactful services and reusable intellectual property, as well as customer satisfaction. Microsoft received the Cloud Accelerator award, commending its success in cloud-native solutions and influence in cloud marketplace transactions.

AI and open source trends

The discussions at the event echoed the growing adoption of AI, the necessity for strategic partnerships, and the use of open source platforms to accelerate enterprise technology outcomes. Red Hat's collaboration with partners in hardware, cloud, and systems integration aims to address customer needs while providing flexibility and support for the implementation of emerging technologies such as AI.

Red Hat continues to work with its partner community to offer customers consulting, training, and technical services, facilitating the reliable adoption of new technology and the development of digital capabilities within local industries.
