FYI, this story is more than a year old

SnapperNet will be bringing Maxon's range of modem/routers to the New Zealand market, after inking a distribution agreement with Maxon Australia.

Maxon is a provider of wireless M2M technology across Asia Pacific.

Richard Paul, SnapperNet managing director, says Maxon is a ‘perfect fit' for customers' demands.

“When looking for access to remote devices out of band or needing a failover or main router, they can use Maxon as their complete solution.

Paul says Mobotix customers, for example, can connect to their IP cameras using Maxon across 3G or 4G.

Maxon products now available through SnapperNet include a 3G router with GPS, Wi-Fi and RS232 to manage M2M applications over high data speeds; and a Unimax+ 4G ethernet modem/router ‘designed especially for a range of up-to-date industrial applications'.

Rick Wong, Maxon Australia general manager says SnapperNet's network of channel partners, strong professional standards and intrinsic attention to detail ‘will provide Maxon with an added advantage in the New Zealand market'.

“New Zealand is an innovative standalone market of early adopters, so it's a very important market for us,” Wong says.

“Our goal is to provide solutions through a reliable and proactive distribution network that is also capable of providing the follow-up technical support and training to end-users that Maxon is renowned for.
