Three new members for NZICT board
Wed, 3rd Aug 2011
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Industry group New Zealand Information and Communication Technology (NZICT) has appointed three new members to its board following its AGM.

The new members are Datacom CEO, Greg Davidson, IBM marketing and communications manager, Michael Friedberg, and Hewlett-Packard NZ managing director, Keith Watson.

The trio replaces Daryl French from IBM, Geoff Lawrie from Cisco and Geoff Hunt from Kordia.

Bennett Medary, NZICT chair and former CEO of Simpl, says he is pleased to see strong interest in for board positions.

"We have a fantastic cross-section of representation from small, medium, large, NZ and multi-national members,” Medary says.

Independent board members David Stone and David Boyes have both stood down; former NZICT CEO Brett O'Riley announced his resignation in June, and the board is currently screening candidates for his replacement.
