UK recession risk rewards Greentree
Tue, 14th Aug 2012
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Greentree has announced several new partners and customers in the UK as the company looks to invest and expand during the recession.

The vendor hopes to offer the companies a better range of business solutions after agreeing deals with Dorset-based iConexx, Norwich's Digital Age, Scotland's Caletech, Cambridge's Applied Business Computers, Worcester's Hoge 100, and Northampton-based Amethyst Associates.

They join innovative services company Prerogative who has been a long-term partner of the organisation.

“We have deliberately chosen to invest and expand during this recession,” says Harry Mowat, Greentree's UK managing director.

“In the current climate, businesses are facing the twin challenges of really needing to innovate and significantly lower costs. This is where Greentree can provide a rapid payback.

The British-based Greentree also forged its first technology partnership, with UK POS solutions supplier Futura. Futura's POS terminals are installed in thousands of businesses throughout the UK and worldwide – users include such major chain store operators as Crew Clothing, Cath Kidston, Menarys and Greenwoods.

“We're very proud of the achievements of our UK partners,” says Peter Dickinson, CEO of Greentree.

“They came on board because they recognised that medium-sized businesses needed a smart, affordable software solution, and the incumbent providers just weren't meeting that need.

"They've been very busy demonstrating the difference that Greentree makes, and as word spreads, we know they're only going to get busier.
