YOU’RE INVITED: 2016 Canterbury Tech Summit – set to be a sell-out
Fri, 19th Aug 2016
FYI, this story is more than a year old

The 2016 Canterbury Tech Summit (formerly Canterbury Software Summit) is fast approaching.

Filled to the brim with insightful presentations, leading innovations and inspirational content, this fresh and unique half-day multi-stream conference is destined to be a sell-out. In regards to speakers, the event boasts a lineup of both international and local thought-leaders of the tech industry, providing great opportunities for participants to network while sharing views, problems and (hopefully) solutions with others.

The theme this year is The Fourth Industrial Revolution, which delves into the future of work and disruptive technology. It moves from the Third Industrial Revolution (simple digitisation) to innovation based on combinations of technologies that continue to accelerate and progress, like the emergence of:

  • Artificial intelligence
  • Robtotics
  • The Internet of Things
  • Autonomous vehicles
  • 3D printing
  • Nanotechnology
  • Biotechnology
  • Materials Science
  • Energy storage
  • Quantum computing

The Tech Summit is brought to you by Canterbury Tech, a non-profit organisation dedicated to advancing tech innovation, commercialisation and export. Their aim is to develop globally successful technology companies through collaboration and education for businesses both large and small.

The conference will be held on the 15th September at the Christchurch Airforce Museum.
