Zenprise sets up ANZ channel manager
Thu, 22nd Nov 2012
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Zenprise has appointed Melbourne-based John Martens as its first country manager for Australia and New Zealand.

The secure mobile device management firm opened for business in these markets last month, striking deals with channel distributors Soft Solutions in New Zealand and Wavelink in Australia, totalling 19 resellers across both markets.

Upon taking up his role, Martens said the Zenprise channel has already concluded several sales to high profile financial, transportation and service industry companies, details of which will be announced pending buyer approvals.

“We’ve really hit the ground running,” he said.

“In the few short weeks since we started here, the momentum has been little short of frantic and resellers have been quick to come on board.

“They see what Zenprsie can do for their customers who need to address the security issues around the rapidly growing use of mobile devices, including BYOD in mixed business and personal use environments.”

Previous roles included Pacific Region director of Zscaler Inc. for three years, following four years in senior sales and general management roles with Cisco IronPort.

The company also announced the appointment of Ashley Armitt as its first sales engineer for Australia and New Zealand.

Based in Sydney, Armitt has nine years of diverse technical consulting experience in MDM behind him, having started out with BlackBerry and worked on projects with such leading organisations as Telstra, Telecom New Zealand, Optus Australia, Fujitsu, Vodafone and Qantas.

Zenprise will announce further ANZ appointments early in the New Year.
