Zscaler introduces enhanced ZDX service for improved IT operations
Fri, 26th Apr 2024

Zscaler, a cloud security vendor, has announced to its Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX) service. Using these advancements, comprehensive insights related to digital experience and performance are provided, improving the efficiency and collaboration across IT operations, service desk, and security.

The ZDX Copilot, an AI assistant, analyses and harnesses knowledge from over 500 trillion data points across users, devices, networks, and applications daily. Teams can interact with Copilot through a series of questions, which employs Generative AI to review high-level trends and progressively narrow results down to specific actionable insights.

Among the significant benefits delivered by the ZDX Copilot across IT and security are efficient triage of tickets by service desk teams through isolation of the root cause of user complaints, as well as effective collaboration with other teams. Networking teams can utilise this tool to execute deep analyses across networks, applications, and regions to identify trends or find optimisation opportunities. In addition, security teams can use the AI assistant to ensure their services are performing optimally at all times, and pinpoint the root causes of issues when performance lags. Furthermore, IT leaders can conveniently extract and present digital experience trends and performance insights to identify new opportunities.

Zscaler has also advertised the early availability of Zscaler Hosted Monitoring, a service that assists IT operations teams in continuously monitoring the availability and performance of applications and services from globally distributed monitoring infrastructure on Zscaler’s global cloud. This service ensures optimal performance of external websites, monitors SLA compliance for applications and services, and supports business growth through confident rollout of new applications or regional expansion.

Dhawal Sharma, Senior Vice President and General Manager at Zscaler, commented, "As organisations adopt Zero Trust architectures, siloed monitoring tools lose visibility across the data path. ZDX reinstates end-to-end visibility across devices, networks, and applications. And with this release, Hosted Monitoring extends 24/7 monitoring to SaaS and external websites from several global locations. Using ZDX Copilot, IT teams such as Service Desk and IT Operations can achieve operational excellence by instantly accessing insights drawn from trillions of performance metrics to easily analyse IT issues and work collaboratively with speed and accuracy."

The latest introduced addition, Data Explorer, enables IT teams and leaders to build and share customised reports that visually correlate data drawn from diverse datasets, providing valuable context for their businesses. This combined analytical approach enhances Zscaler's already robust portfolio, empowering businesses with actionable insights for continued growth and performance optimisation.
