Leaseweb launches Multi-CDN service in Asia Pacific region
Thu, 18th Jan 2024

Cloud services and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) provider, Leaseweb, has launched its Multi-CDN in the Asia Pacific region. The Multi-CDN technology combines multiple Content Delivery Network (CDN) providers for clients in sectors including Media, Entertainment, Marketing, Advertising, SaaS, Gaming and iGaming. This amalgamation facilitates the reduction of latency and improvements in the performance of high-bandwidth content, ensuring consistent results even during periods of increased traffic.

As part of the expansive Multi-CDN offering, Leaseweb equips customers with a breakthrough self-service portal. This innovative platform empowers users to optimise content distribution through streamlined CDN integration. It also provides a comprehensive reporting stage which standardises and combines key metrics across CDNs. Leaseweb's customers will gain access to over 545 Points of Presence (PoPs) across regions including Europe, Canada, the US, South America, the Middle East, Africa, India, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia, ensuring unparalleled capacity.

This widespread capacity is provided through an intelligent automatic CDN switching mechanism, utilised across three Global CDNs. Enhanced performance, reduced latency, and improved user availability are ensured by Leaseweb's unique optimised strategy. By stacking CDN providers, traffic is intelligently routed via a redundant switching mechanism. Furthermore, Leaseweb clients can offload contract negotiation and administrative tasks, thus saving time and cutting costs.

Pieter Kraan, Managing Director of Leaseweb Singapore, voiced the company's investment in the Asia Pacific region, stating, "The Asia Pacific is not only a key region for Leaseweb, it is an essential hub for the entire data centre industry and multi-CDN capabilities are a vital part of this." With surges in digitalisation, smartphone usage, and 5G network rollouts, Kraan underlines the ongoing expansion of the CDN market size and the Asia Pacific's substantial contribution to the global market.

Kraan also expressed enthusiasm about the launch of the new offering in the APAC market adding, "We are delighted to be able to bring this new offering to the APAC market and are committed to providing best in class service with 24/7 support." The company promises personal support during business hours as well as an always accessible knowledge base, thereby providing reliability and value to its customers.
