Wed, 22nd May 2024

2degrees has announced the appointment of Emma-Kate Greer as its new Chief Customer Officer. Greer will assume responsibility for customer operations and experience, which includes the management of the company's extensive network of retail stores, various customer channels, and customer care services.

Greer previously held the position of Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at the telecommunications company. According to 2degrees CEO Mark Callander, Greer is a highly respected executive leader with extensive industry expertise, having occupied leadership roles at Telecom (now Spark), Genesis, and TVNZ, amongst other notable organisations.

Callander highlighted Greer's collaborative leadership skills and performance-driven approach, expressing confidence that her appointment will drive improvements across the business. In her new role, Greer will oversee a team of 700 professionals dedicated to customer operations and experience. She will be charged with enhancing the customer experience for 2degrees' 1.6 million mobile users, nearly 400,000 fixed line customers, and 50,000 electricity consumers. Additionally, Greer will maintain responsibility for the company's regulatory functions and Government relations, overseeing a significant retail footprint that includes 54 stores nationwide.

Callander noted that Greer has been an integral part of 2degrees since joining the company in October 2021, consistently demonstrating exemplary leadership and commitment, as well as a profound understanding of the company's values and objectives. The changes in leadership follow the resignation of Taryn Hamilton from the Chief Customer Officer role after a decade-long tenure with the business.

Hamilton initially joined 2degrees as the general manager of Slingshot and played a pivotal role in the company's evolution and growth. He has decided to pursue a new business opportunity. Callander expressed his gratitude for Hamilton's contributions and wished him the utmost success in his future endeavours.
