2degrees launches new business product to tackle hybrid engagement problems

FYI, this story is more than a year old

2degrees has launched its new Group Text business product to help solve many of the challenges that have come from hybrid work and engagement.

Research conducted by 2degrees revealed that 53% of leaders who said their business was just staying afloat considered customer engagement as something that could hinder productivity and growth going forward.

What's more, research from the Shaping Business Study, which surveyed 1000 plus business decision-makers across New Zealand, showed that the work-from-home movement is here to stay.

35% of businesses considered themselves in a reviving phase and identified that the flexibility to work from home is crucial to their business getting back on track.

2degrees says that Group Text makes engagement simple and easy, allowing businesses to engage with staff and offer customer support easily and at the required scale.

Utilising Bulletin powered technology, the service can be personalised to suit business needs and protocols. It uses a platform that allows two-way text messages with clients and any size contact group, leading to opportunities for businesses to become selective and organised when conducting business externally and internally.

Group Text has the ability to send appointment reminders, status updates and follow-ups, which can reduce no-shows. The solution can also help communicate office announcements or roster changes in an efficient and timely manner, particularly useful with the increase in work from home arrangements.

"Businesses need to be adaptable in the way they engage with their customers and their teams, and this solution offers both. This is a great time for businesses to be getting back on track, and we see Group Text as something we can do to help," says 2degrees general manager business product and marketing Richard Hann.

He says it was also a deliberate move by the company to launch before Christmas in order to "give businesses who had have a tough run this year another way to engage, share updates and hopefully get back to business."

Bulletin managing director Bruce Herbert is pleased that the technology and partnership with 2degrees is helping solve common challenges faced by businesses and believes the product has a strong foothold going into the New Year.

"We've had a long relationship with 2degrees, and it's exciting to partner on this cutting-edge business solution, which we know will further enhance their portfolio of business communication services in New Zealand," he says.

2degrees says the service is powered by technology from a global business messaging provider with  65,000 customers worldwide and believes it offers flexibility, personalisation and rich reporting.
