FYI, this story is more than a year old

2degrees has launched its second Android 2.2 smartphone, the LG Optimus One P500.

Costing $449, the P500 comes with pre-installed software and an in-car cradle/charger that turns it into "a mobile car navigation system" says the company.

2degrees Senior Product Manager for Devices, Tim Hayward, said “This is an incredibly sophisticated handset at this price point that’s already seeing huge uptake around the world and has become a real hit for LG. 2degrees is pleased to be the first to offer it in New Zealand.”

The company recently unveiled a new range of $29 Pay Monthly plans, which it says will change the way you think about using your mobile.

Join before December 31st and you’ll also get 100 bonus minutes, every month, for a year. More information here.
