A10 Networks enhances AI solutions for cyber resilience

Thu, 24th Oct 2024

A10 Networks is advancing its security and AI-based solution offerings to assist customers in enhancing cyber resilience and efficiently managing IT infrastructures.

As organisations implement AI infrastructures across cloud or on-premises platforms and accelerate hybrid cloud strategies, the integration and management of these systems becomes crucial. Gaps in existing AI models are raising cyber risks, particularly in sectors like healthcare, financial services, industrial, and technology. Research by IBM indicates that the average cost of a data breach is USD $4.88 million per incident, underscoring the urgency for robust security measures.

A10 Networks is addressing these needs with its proprietary Advanced Core Operating System (ACOS). This system is being enhanced with a fully integrated AI stack to support AI Inference and GenAI environments. The upgrade, which is expected later this year, aims to improve the efficiency of systems by enabling load-balancing and offloading of compute-intensive tasks, thus optimising server CPU and GPU performance.

The introduction of A10 Control represents a step forward in managing infrastructure through centralised operations. Managing the company's Thunder ADC and Defend product lines, A10 Control will become available later this year. It is designed to streamline operations by providing a unified dashboard for automating updates, managing licences, and monitoring system health.

A10 Networks is expanding its product suite with an aim of enhancing cybersecurity efforts. The announcement of AI-powered bot protection as part of the A10 Defend portfolio complements existing capabilities in web application security and DDoS detection and mitigation. Currently in an early trial phase, this offering is set to bolster the protection of customer applications against bot-related threats.

In response to the growing demands from large enterprises for robust security against complex threats, A10 Networks is advancing its Defend DDoS protection suite. Known for safeguarding major service providers, the portfolio is evolving to tackle multi-vector and volumetric DDoS threats. This complements on-premises offerings by adding cloud-based capabilities to handle attacks that exceed local capacity.

This comprehensive approach to cybersecurity and infrastructure management aims to simplify IT operations while reducing risks for both enterprise and service provider customers. Dhrupad Trivedi, President and CEO of A10 Networks, stated, "For over 20 years, A10 has helped businesses efficiently achieve their connectivity and security goals with technology innovation. The technology landscape continues to rapidly evolve as our customers are increasingly harnessing AI to power their infrastructures making our differentiation even more relevant. A10 is on this journey with our customers, and we continue to innovate around enabling their current and future business outcomes."
