Mon, 10th Feb 2020
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Access4, a prominent unified communication as a service (UCaaS) provider, today announced it has appointed Brian Evans as partner enablement specialist for the company's New Zealand operation.

Evans brings to the company his experience as a product and channel manager.

Access4 managing director Tim Jackson says that the main catalyst for this appointment was the success of the company's partnership with Ingram Micro which has simplified the go-to-market model in New Zealand and created a strong pipeline of partners that are ready to move to Access4.

“Working with Ingram Micro has been the perfect way to secure the right partners for Access4 products and it's now our priority to get those partners on board, up to speed and profitable as soon as possible.”

As product manager for Devoli (previously Vibe Communications), Brian has worked with both Ingram Micro and Access4.

He has experienced first-hand the opportunity of UCaaS in the New Zealand market and is looking forward to a successful long-term partnership.

“Ingram Micro is a key player in this market with a strong network of managed service providers (MSPs) that are well suited to the Access4 solution,” says Evans.

“My role is to interface with Ingram Micro and help their team get resellers up to speed and profitable, making money quickly through the Access4 model.”

Ingram Micro business manager of unified communications Danny Meadows says he and the company are looking forward to working with Evans and relish the opportunity to grow the company with his help.

“We are delighted to be working with Brian and the Access4 team and we're looking forward to onboarding significant Partners that have already indicated their interest in this solution,” says Meadows.

Evans says of his new role: “This is an exciting opportunity to leverage the skills I have built over the years and to be involved with global players including Microsoft and Cisco/Broadsoft.

“Because of these key vendors, there is a lot more education and understanding about what unified communications (UC) is and because of Access4's innovative and seamless solution, it's more accessible than ever before.”

Evans has over 30 years experience in the Telecommunications industry with 20 of those in product and channel management roles.

He has worked in New Zealand-based corporates Telecom and Clear Communications, and with international vendors, including Ericsson, NEC, Uniden and ShoreTel.

He has also worked alongside small to medium organizations Zintel, Connect NZ and NEC Business Solutions.
