FYI, this story is more than a year old

Adobe is embarking on a multi-year partnership with FC Bayern, using its enterprise solutions to carry out the club's digital transformation.

FC Bayern is one of the world's most historic and successful football clubs.

Adobe says the partnership will generate personalised experiences, online and offline, for the club's fans around the world, both current and future.

In addition, Adobe's offerings will foster more efficient and sustainable business practices for the club.

FC Bayern continues to gain popularity, with a global fanbase of millions, which the club is passionate about connecting in new ways.

Adobe's technology will give FC Bayern the means to understand its fans better and create more engaging and individualised sports experiences.

Adobe Experience Cloud, including Adobe's customer data platform, will assist FC Bayern in making fan profiles to develop a more robust understanding of the ways supporters interact with the brand and ensure they benefit from a more personal relationship with their favourite teams.

This will also result in an improved experience to the overall matchday for fans, allowing supporters to receive notifications in real-time such as merchandise discounts, video content and last-minute ticket availability.

By providing experiences across platforms, channels and devices, Adobe's technology will stop FC Bayern fans from ever missing anything, whether at the arena, on the go, or at home.

For example, when a goal is scored, fans will get content through their preferred channel to celebrate the moment in real-time, as well as post-match video commentary and highlights.

“Today's FC Bayern fan is digitally savvy and craves new ways to get closer to our club and players, which is why we aim to create sustainable and lasting interactions that bring matchday excitement to our millions of passionate fans across the world,” FC Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn says.

“We're investing in a long-term digital strategy with Adobe's breadth of enterprise applications at the core of our technology, to deepen how our fans engage with the club and to inspire the next generation of fans for years to come.

FC Bayern will also use Adobe Document Cloud, including Adobe Acrobat Sign, to allow it to collaborate with fans, employees and partners digitally.

Further, Document Cloud will simplify activities such as signing up for memberships or fulfilling player agreements, as well as making these activities more secure and reducing their environmental impact.

“FC Bayern has millions of fans around the world, and they are at the forefront of revolutionising fan experiences,” Adobe digital experience business president Anil Chakravarthy says.

“With this partnership, FC Bayern will create more personalised experiences to enable fans to celebrate the passion and heart of the club wherever they may be.
