Telecom's chief financial officer Russ Houlden is the latesthigh-ranking executive to quit the company, it was announced today.
Houlden, who left his family in the UK to move to NewZealand when he took up the position two years ago, was among a group of highflying international senior executives recruited by CEO Paul Reynolds.
Others who have left recently are chief transformationofficer Frank Mount who returned to the US after allegedly falling on his swordbecause of the XT failures and head of XT Paul Hamburger who controversially commutedbetween Florida and New Zealand.
In addition, Telecom Wholesale chief executive Matt Crocketthas also resigned and will leave the company on 30 June.
Intoday’s statement Reynolds praised Houlden’s work at Telecom: “He worked tirelessly to develop and foster a strongfinancial leadership team around him. The depth and capabilities of this teamhas grown significantly under Russ’s leadership. I respect the choice Russ hasmade to return home and be with his family while taking up a challengingnew career opportunity, and I wish him all the best.”
Houlden is moving back to the UK to take up a roleas the CFO for a FTSE 100 company. His departure date has yet to be determined.
