Aon Insights Series to address risk & resilience in Auckland
Aon will host the Aon Insights Series New Zealand 2025 in Auckland, bringing together leaders to address key issues in risk and organisational resilience.
The full-day programme is set to take place at the Viaduct Events Centre and will mark the first time the event is held in Auckland. This year, the series will be built around the theme "The Time for Better Decisions is Now". The sessions aim to support business leaders in addressing the increasing complexity and uncertainty present across a range of sectors and economic conditions.
Focus on risk and opportunity
Participants, including business executives, industry experts and risk professionals, will engage in sessions centred on the forces shaping organisational resilience and risk management. The event agenda is designed to offer practical, actionable insights into managing emerging risks, as well as opportunities in a changing environment.
"As risk continues to evolve faster than ever - from economic disruption and cyber threats to workforce shifts and global trade challenges - leaders are being challenged to think more broadly, plan more strategically and act more decisively," said Melissa Cantell, CEO of New Zealand for Aon. "This event is about helping organisations connect the dots between risk and opportunity and equipping them with the insights, tools, and mindset to act with clarity and confidence."
Programme and speakers
The conference will open with remarks from Melissa Cantell, setting the tone for the day. Jason Disborough, Aon's enterprise client leader for Asia Pacific, will present insights on four prominent megatrends affecting the region: Trade, Technology, Weather, and Workforce.
Additional speakers to feature at the event include New Zealand economist Brad Olsen, Australian futurist and author Michael McQueen, and senior executives from well-known organisations such as Air New Zealand, Datacom, NZ Post, Southern Cross Healthcare, and Zespri. These contributors will lend perspectives from sectors ranging from logistics and aviation to healthcare and technology.
Session topics
The agenda for the day has been developed to include keynote presentations, fireside chats, panel discussions and hands-on sessions within the 'Better Decisions Lab'. Topics to be discussed include cyber resilience, fostering innovation, global market uncertainty, and people strategy. The interactive format is intended to provide delegates with the opportunity to explore concrete strategies for strengthening resilience and decision-making processes in their organisations.
Attendees will address the challenges and opportunities presented by the shifting risk landscape and explore how best to leverage strategic insights and leadership in a region undergoing rapid change. The focus remains on building confidence and clarity in decision-making during times of volatility.
Industry relevance
The event is expected to attract leaders from across the Pacific business community. By addressing pressing issues related to risk management and resilience, the series seeks to respond to heightened interest in these areas as businesses look to adapt to new market dynamics, technological evolution and workforce challenges.
With a diverse line-up of speakers and a targeted programme, the event aims to facilitate dialogue and connection among businesses in the region as they look to better prepare for, and respond to, emerging developments in the risk landscape.
