AVEVA appoints Arti Garg as new chief technologist

AVEVA has announced the appointment of Arti Garg as its new Chief Technologist, a role created to focus on advancing the company's strategy in evolving technologies, particularly Generative AI.

Arti Garg will commence her role in March and will be tasked with shaping AVEVA's approach to innovation, emphasizing the integration of new technologies into industrial manufacturing and essential infrastructure. Her responsibility will be to understand thoroughly and evaluate emerging technologies, with a particular focus on facilitating their effective application and adoption by customers to meet business goals.

Her experience is widely regarded, having previously led Technology Strategy and Evaluation for the Office of the Chief Technology Officer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Arti Garg has a diverse background in data science leadership across computing and industrial sectors, alongside experience working with the U.S. government at both the White House Budget Office and as a legislative adviser in Congress. She holds a PhD in Physics from Harvard University and a Master's in Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering from Stanford University.
