Best of Tech.Ed’s The Hub
If you’ve been at Tech.Ed this week chances are you’ve already been to The Hub, the conference’s central exhibition hall. If you haven’t, here’s what you’re missing.
Intergen
Microsoft partners Intergen have had a very popular display at Tech.Ed, mostly because it features a four-way car racing competition. Needless to say, competition has been fierce.
Xbox
Although Intergen’s display allows entrants to compete head-to-head, the Xbox showcase has been no less popular, offering conference-long contests in dance, bowling and table tennis on Kinect, as well as Formula One racing and FPS gaming in 3D.
Thycotic
Password management software providers Thycotic don’t have a single piece of computing hardware on their site, but they have still received constant traffic thanks to the two espresso machines providing fresh coffee to weary delegates (especially popular the morning after TechFest).
Joob Mobile
Appealing to every delegate’s inner ten-year-old, the folks at Joob Mobile decided to go retro this year, offering a two-car RC track for delegates to test their old-school racing skills.
Fuji Xerox
The retro prize, though, must go to Fuji Xerox, who have adorned their display with an arcade unit offering classic space-shooter Galaga. Good stuff.
