BeyondTrust named leader in 2025 GigaOm Radar Report
BeyondTrust has been named a Leader in the 2025 GigaOm Radar Report for Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management (CIEM) Solutions, highlighting its innovation and capabilities in managing access and identities across cloud environments.
The cybersecurity company was recognised for what GigaOm described as a "platform-centric approach" to identity security, which integrates advanced CIEM capabilities into a broader privileged identity solution. The report assessed 22 CIEM vendors across key features and use cases, as well as their positioning in terms of maturity and innovation.
"As organisations adopt multicloud and hybrid cloud strategies, managing identities and access rights across diverse platforms has become increasingly challenging," said Ivan McPhee, Senior Industry Analyst at GigaOm.
"BeyondTrust's platform-centric approach of including advanced CIEM capabilities into its broader Privileged Identity Security platform positions BeyondTrust as a Leader in this year's report," he added.
The GigaOm evaluation scored BeyondTrust as "Superior to Exceptional" in 15 categories.
These included Entitlements Discovery and Visualisation, Automated Least Privilege, Granular Policy Visibility and Control, Compliance and Identity Governance, Just-in-Time (JIT) Access, and Self-Service Access Management. Other categories where BeyondTrust scored highly were Configurability, Flexibility, Interoperability, Manageability, Observability, Performance and Support.
The report identified BeyondTrust's strengths in enforcing least privilege access, identifying identity-based risks, and mitigating misconfigurations, all of which are growing concerns as organisations move more workloads to the cloud.
Marc Maiffret, Chief Technology Officer at BeyondTrust, said the recognition by GigaOm validated the company's platform strategy and focus on unified security.
"This recognition as a Leader in the 2025 GigaOm Radar Report for CIEM solutions validates our commitment to helping organisations secure their cloud environments by enforcing least privilege access, mitigating identity-based risks, and providing deep visibility into cloud entitlements," Maiffret said.
Maiffret also pointed to the company's new Pathfinder platform as being a central element of its approach.
"Our new unified, disruptive platform approach - Pathfinder - breaks free from fragmented, siloed solutions that leave organisations vulnerable to identity threats and delivers adaptive, intelligent, and risk-aware identity security via one cohesive solution," he said.
GigaOm's report comes at a time when managing cloud entitlements is increasingly critical for organisations undergoing digital transformation.
With a rise in hybrid and multicloud deployments, the need for robust identity governance and access controls has become a central focus for IT and security teams.
According to the report, BeyondTrust offers broad functionality across a range of cloud environments and use cases, helping customers address complex identity and access management challenges in dynamic infrastructure settings.
