Boomi to acquire Rivery, enhancing data management
Boomi has announced its definitive agreement to acquire the modern data integration provider Rivery.
Rivery's platform, known for its Change Data Capture (CDC) technology, is anticipated to bolster Boomi's existing capabilities in data management by facilitating the rapid deployment of intuitive, end-to-end data pipelines. This enhancement is aligned with the needs of organisations seeking faster and more efficient Extract, Load, and Transform (ELT) processes.
Steve Lucas, Chairman and CEO of Boomi, commented on the significance of the acquisition: "This acquisition marks an important milestone for Boomi as we expand our platform to address the evolving data management needs of businesses in the age of data-driven decision-making and AI. Rivery's differentiated low-code ELT capabilities and CDC technology align perfectly with our strategy to deliver seamless, powerful tools that transform data into a strategic asset. By integrating Rivery's solutions and welcoming its exceptional team, we are doubling down on our mission to help organisations thrive in a rapidly changing digital landscape."
The acquisition, expected to conclude by the end of 2024, subject to customary closing conditions, represents a strategic expansion of Boomi's platform to incorporate a seamless and unified suite of tools for intelligent integration, automation, API management, and data management. The financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.
Doug Henschen, VP and Principal Analyst at Constellation Research, elaborated on the demand for real-time data solutions in modern enterprises: "Low latency requirements are emerging across modern enterprises, and CDC technology is increasingly used to ensure real-time updates and timely data-driven insights, recommendations and actions. Rivery's technologies will not only facilitate seamless integration of data across silos, but also empower businesses to make informed decisions and deploy trusted AI solutions that can adapt to evolving market demands."
Itamar Ben Hemo, CEO of Rivery, spoke about the potential benefits for both employees and clients: "This is a transformative moment for Rivery's employees, customers, and partners. Our end-to-end platform has established a strong brand in the data management landscape, serving over 450 customers globally and addressing their evolving needs. The unified platform offered by Boomi merges critical elements essential for every company today: API management, integration and automation, and data management—all supported by strong AI foundations."
The combination of Rivery's platform with Boomi's existing architecture is set to mitigate current challenges faced by organisations, such as data silos, lack of data quality, and insufficient governance. By enhancing data orchestration and management strategies, the partnership aims to support the deployment of trusted AI solutions and ensure the data accuracy, accessibility, and security necessary for data-driven decision-making.
Boomi's acquisition of Rivery underlines a strategic move to blur the distinctions between integration platform as a service (iPaaS), API management, and data integration. It offers a consolidated approach with Boomi AI Agents powering integration and automation, cloud-scale API management, and enhanced data management capabilities.
