Bridgewise secures $21m Series A funding led by SIX Group
Thu, 18th Apr 2024

Bridgewise, the financial intelligence platform powered by artificial intelligence (AI), has secured $21 million in a series A funding round led by SIX Group. The investment will be used to boost the global expansion of its unique financial intelligence platform dedicated to global securities.

SIX Group, the key operator of the financial centres in Switzerland and Spain, was the leading investor. Other participants in the funding included Group 11, a firm specialising in fintech ventures; and L4 Venture Builder, the venture capital arm of Latin America’s leading exchange, B3.

The effect of the funding will be to further expand the global presence of Bridgewise by managing the development of its proprietary AI technology. This will advance the company's operations currently established in over 15 countries, such as Australia, Brazil, Japan, Singapore, Switzerland, UAE, UK, US, among others. Co-founder and CEO of Bridgewise, Gaby Diamant, addressed the development by stating, “This is a major milestone on our mission to close the knowledge and accessibility gap across the global capital markets."

Bridgewise was founded to challenge the fact that only an estimated 20% of global securities are covered by financial institutions. This lack of information leaves investment opportunities untouched for potential investors. Bridgewise's unique AI platform bridges this gap in knowledge by providing easily understandable equity research that was previously exclusive to major financial organisations.

Diamant further expounded on this point by saying, “Our AI technology is uniquely positioned to provide the trustworthy analysis, recommendations, and support global investors need to make informed decisions. With partners such as SIX, Group 11, and L4VB on board, we have the tools we need to deliver significantly upgraded insights across the globe, empowering investors in any language, in any market."

In light of its rapid growth, Bridgewise has developed a suite of products tailored for the needs of leading financial institutions and service providers. These consist of detailed AI-generated reports and on-demand analysis of financial instruments or securities to inform and assist investors.

Bridgewise leverages machine learning to analyse over 90% of listed global securities, including stocks and mutual funds. This analysis goes beyond data processing, as the platform also offers investment recommendations. This feature is unique and regulated and has already gained approval in the markets within which Bridgewise operates.

Reflecting on the investment, Björn Sibbern, Global Head of Exchanges at SIX, commented, "Our investment in Bridgewise signifies our commitment to innovation and the future of finance. With AI at its core, Bridgewise equips professional and retail investors with essential tools for informed decisions."

Overall, the funding secured by Bridgewise is set to accelerate their mission to close the knowledge and access gaps in the global capital markets, equipping investors around the world with the ability to make informed decisions in any market, in any language.
