FYI, this story is more than a year old

Imaging specialists Canon have appointed a managing director for their New Zealand business, with the current country manager due to depart in coming months.

Yusuke Mizoguchi has already held senior roles with the company in Europe, the USA and Japan, and in the newly-created role will increase the visibility of the New Zealand market to the company’s head office in Japan.

Outgoing NZ boss Mike Johnston has been with the company for over five years, starting as COO and CTO in June 2006 and being promoted to director and country manager in March 2009.

Taz Nakamasu, chairman of Canon New Zealand, says Mizoguchi’s appointment will help the company build on Johnson’s work strengthening the company in the imaging market.

Mizoguchi will take up the role in January.
