Canto launches platform to aid in digital asset management
Canto has announced the launch of Canto PIM, a new platform that integrates digital asset management (DAM) with product information management (PIM) capabilities.
The platform aims to address the complexities that brands experience in managing and distributing digital assets and product data across multiple channels and campaigns.
Wain Kellum, CEO of Canto, stated, "Within every industry, businesses are under unprecedented pressure to create and deliver more content than ever before — 85% of marketers report their content demands have doubled in just the past two years alone. Siloed approaches to digital asset and product information management cannot keep pace with this reality. Canto PIM empowers organisations to reimagine their content and product information operations for the digital-first era, breaking down legacy roadblocks to deliver exceptional customer, partner, and employee experiences at scale."
Canto PIM aims to establish a single source of truth for all product data and digital content. This encompasses content designed for both product-specific purposes and broader brand marketing and sales. By integrating traditionally separated functionalities, the platform allows organisations to manage workflows throughout the content and product information lifecycle, from planning and creation to distribution and analysis.
The platform offers several key features. It centralises all digital assets and product information within one repository, utilising AI search and intuitive tools for streamlined workflows and enhanced efficiency. It also allows for synchronisation of product data and assets across e-commerce, social media, and partner content, thereby ensuring a consistent brand experience for customers.
Canto PIM also facilitates product launches and scaling by accommodating unlimited products, versions, and attributes without impacting performance or ease of use. Furthermore, it provides advanced analytics for tracking asset performance and return on investment, enabling data-driven strategies to optimise channel impact.
Security is a significant consideration, with the platform offering SOC-2-certified enterprise-grade security, complete with granular permissions and compliance features to protect brand assets and product intellectual property.
Alan Beiagi, Chief Product & Technology Officer of Canto, commented on the unification aspect of the platform, stating, "By breaking down the barriers between DAM and PIM technologies and workflows, we're giving our customers the all-in-one agility and efficiency they need to thrive in their marketplace — whether that's retail, hospitality, manufacturing, or any other industry. Canto PIM represents our vision for unifying traditionally disjointed content assets and product information. Businesses' marketing, creative, and product teams, as well as their customers and partners, will be able to work together much more efficiently and effectively."
