Celebrating growth and leadership: Inde Technology’s women driving innovation
As the global tech industry strives for greater diversity, Inde Technology is proud to celebrate the remarkable achievements of its women this International Women's Day. With a culture grounded in learning, leadership, and collaboration, and around 40% year-on-year revenue growth, we've seen our customers and team grow significantly.
The number of women at Inde has also increased considerably, from 17% to 24% in the past year, reflecting our commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where talent thrives.
I was humbled and proud to see how far we have come as an organisation, especially since investing in The Inde Commitment and the growth within the team. In the past year alone, six of these outstanding women were recognised with promotions, making up 29% of all promotions across the organisation. Their contributions have not only shaped our internal success but have also been recognised on national platforms and across multiple communities, with some of our women even being selected as finalists and winners at the prestigious WIICTA (Women in ICT) 2024 Awards.
At Inde, we're privileged to be home to some of Aotearoa's most innovative and inspiring women in tech, who continue to break barriers and lead the way, including:
- Indira Bandari - Data Architect: A Data Platform and AI Microsoft MVP who has played a significant role in the tech community, contributing thought leadership and mentoring emerging talent.
- Jo Murphy - Cloud Specialist, Rachael Hurren - Director Learning and Development, Fran Smaller - Licensing Specialist, and Katrina Van Der Mespel - Managed Services Specialist have represented Inde at Women in Tech events, career evenings, and community events, inspiring future generations.
- Natassja Savidge - Integration and Automation Technical Director took the stage at a Canterbury Tech event, delivering insights on 'Low Code, No Code' solutions.
- Fran Smaller continues to lead and inspire the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team at Inde, taking out the DE&I Award at the recent WIICTA event, as well as Erin Chadwick – Senior Product Specialist, who was selected as a finalist in the Rising Star (Partner) category, being recognised as a finalist for a second consecutive year, highlighting Erin's deep market expertise and business acumen.
In amongst our talented team, their impact extends beyond the business side of things at Inde, actively engaging in industry-wide initiatives such as ShadowTech, where we welcomed aspiring young women to explore careers in tech, demonstrating how they too can lead the charge in innovation. They have also been sharing knowledge and inspiring other organisations through supporting community initiatives and charitable organisations.
Our growth and success are built on shared knowledge, learning, and empowerment. This commitment was reflected at our recent annual team celebrations, where women claimed five out of 14 awards, reinforcing their dynamic role in driving our business forward.
From fostering future talent to recognising and promoting excellence, Inde remains steadfast in ensuring women have the opportunities, recognition, and support to excel. We are committed to championing an inclusive workplace where all people can thrive, innovate, and lead the way in shaping the future of technology.
This International Women's Day, we're celebrating the women of Inde and all those beyond who are paving the way for a more diverse and dynamic tech industry. Their achievements are a testament to the power of inclusion, and we are excited for what's to come.
