Celonis has announced the appointment of Grzegorz (Greg) Czajkowski as its new Executive Vice President of Engineering. Czajkowski, who previously held the same position at Snowflake, will now oversee Celonis's global Engineering teams to further advance its Process Intelligence platform.

Czajkowski brings a wealth of experience from his five-year tenure at Snowflake, where he led the worldwide Engineering team responsible for developing and delivering the Snowflake Data Cloud. Prior to his role at Snowflake, Czajkowski spent 13 years at Google as Vice President of Engineering, overseeing a wide range of Google Cloud data analytics and machine learning products, as well as services addressing the data analytics needs of Google's various businesses. Czajkowski also has experience from his six years at Sun Microsystems, where he worked on Java runtime environments and operating systems.

In his new role, Czajkowski will leverage his extensive experience in building industry-leading platforms and infrastructure solutions to enhance Celonis's Process Intelligence platform. The platform is powered by the Celonis Process Intelligence Graph, which integrates process data, artificial intelligence, and business context. Czajkowski will lead the Engineering and Product teams as they continue to innovate and enhance the platform's foundation, ensuring it delivers unrivalled scale and speed. The teams will also further incorporate AI to provide greater process insights and context.

"I am very excited to join the team," Czajkowski said. "Celonis has created a highly sophisticated Process Intelligence platform enabling its customers to realise substantial value and drive sustainable enterprise transformation. I am fascinated by the opportunity to help organisations in all industries and regions to optimise their processes at scale. The company's potential is truly extraordinary; everyone can benefit from Celonis technology. I look forward to taking the comprehensive automation of process optimisation and intelligence that Celonis has developed even further and I am very excited to be working with the team to fully realise its potential."

Celonis co-Founder and co-CEO Alex Rinke expressed his enthusiasm about the new appointment. "Greg's impressive experience in engineering leadership and innovation makes him the perfect fit for us," Rinke stated. "We are thrilled to welcome Greg into our team and look forward to the significant contributions he will bring in advancing our product development alongside fellow Celonauts, as well as driving transformative solutions for our customers. His expertise will be instrumental in ensuring we continue to lead the market and deliver unparalleled value."

In addition to his professional experience, Czajkowski's academic background includes a PhD in Computer Science from Cornell University, an MBA from UC Berkeley, and an undergraduate degree from AGH Krakow in Poland. He currently holds over 50 patents.
