Check Point unveils portal to simplify MSSP service delivery

Wed, 4th Sep 2024

Check Point Software Technologies has introduced a new portal designed for managed security service providers (MSSPs) and distributors. The platform aims to simplify service delivery and enhance the ease of doing business with Check Point.

A report by Canalys projects the global MSSP market to grow by 14.2% annually due to increasing cyber threats and the growing need for specialised security services. However, MSSPs and channel partners currently face challenges such as scaling their services efficiently, managing multiple customers across diverse security solutions, adhering to evolving industry regulations and maintaining profitability while controlling operational costs. The new Check Point MSSP Portal is designed to address these hurdles, offering a streamlined approach to enhancing security and operational efficiency.

Matt Payze, CEO of Adelaide-based Southern Cyber, remarked on the impact of the new portal. "The new MSSP portal is a game-changer in optimising our service delivery. What used to take weeks can now be accomplished in minutes, from customer onboarding to tenant creation, all within a single management pane with a full view of services, status contract and converting POCs to trial," he said. According to Payze, the portal's efficiency lowers delivery costs, simplifies operations, and improves financial planning, making services more profitable and boosting customer satisfaction. "The portal's ability to streamline processes allows us to focus on providing top-tier security solutions with greater speed, agility and precision, consistently exceeding client expectations," he added.

Francisco Criado, Check Point's Vice President of Global Partner Ecosystem Organisation, commented on the new portal's goals. "Our new Portal is here to make life easier for our valued partners, enhancing efficiency and driving business growth. We are deeply committed to our partner ecosystem, and this Portal stands as a testament to our dedication, serving as a powerful ally in the fight against cybersecurity threats," Criado stated.

One of the core features of the portal is a user-centric design that significantly reduces the time required for onboarding new partners. A process that previously could take up to a week now takes only two minutes. This improvement not only saves time but also reduces operational costs for MSSPs. The portal integrates seamlessly into the Check Point Infinity Platform, marking a notable advancement in Check Point's MSSP programme and altering business operations fundamentally.

The Check Point MSSP Portal goes beyond operational efficiency improvements by reshaping how MSSPs interact with technology, manage services, and meet the evolving security needs of their clients. The portal includes features meant to enhance service delivery:

  • Effortless Onboarding: New capabilities empower distributors to onboard MSSPs with the click of a button.
  • Diverse Security Portfolio: Effortlessly deploy an array of services in minutes, such as endpoint, email, mobile, SASE, and cloud.
  • Profitability with Minimal Risk: Flexible billing, predictable revenue, no long-term commitments, or upfront investment.

This development comes at a time when the complexity of managing cybersecurity threats necessitates more robust and streamlined solutions for service providers. The Check Point MSSP Portal represents a significant step towards addressing these complexities and enhancing the efficiency of security service delivery.
