Compuware launches high-output 6600W power supply unit

Compuware Technology has introduced the CPR-6622-1M1, a new 6,600W dual-output power supply aimed at addressing the power needs of AI and GPU servers.

The CPR-6622-1M1 represents the highest-output model in Compuware's range of PSUs, delivering simultaneous 54V and 12V outputs. This feature is crucial for supporting GPU-driven workloads like deep learning and large-scale simulations, which demand high-current, stable power. The PSU achieves 96% efficiency and holds an 80 PLUS Titanium certification.

AI and high-performance computing workloads require GPUs to perform efficiently with high voltages. The CPR-6622-1M1's 54V output is engineered to direct the necessary voltage to GPUs, eliminating additional conversion steps and thereby reducing complexity and boosting efficiency. Its 12V output is tailored for powering various server components including CPUs and networking equipment, ensuring coordinated power distribution across systems.

This power supply effectively supports installations requiring up to eight units in parallel, providing scalability and flexibility beyond the initial power output. It can sustain peak loads within strict parameters, accommodating power surges typical in intensive computing tasks without sacrificing stability.

Additional features of the CPR-6622-1M1 include active power factor correction to improve system reliability and in-system firmware uploads to ensure seamless updates with minimal downtime. The power supply also complies with IPC-9592B Class I standards, affirming its compatibility with mission-critical systems.
